Digieffects is based in Wilmington, North Carolina home of EUE/Screen Gems, the Cucalorus Film Festival and University of North Carolina, Wilmington’s outstanding film studies program. The town is affectionately dubbed “Hollywood East” and over 300 movies and TV shows have been filmed here.

Digieffects is helping the Cucalorus Film Festival raise money and awareness. The festival is in its 16 year and every November screens approximately 150 films from around the world in a non-competitive format. The Brooks Institute calls it one of the top ten film festivals in the US. Both Time and MovieMaker Magazine have also said nice things about the festival.

As many of you know, funding for non-profit organizations, particularly those serving the arts has dried up quite a bit. Digieffects is helping Cucalorus raise money and awareness. The arrangement we’ve made is that anybody who donates $10 to Cucalorus will receive a free copy of our Aged Film plugin ($49 value, supports most host apps). The donation page is located here and Cucalorus is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which means your donation is tax deductible. Digieffects does not receive a penny from this promotion.
