Tuesday night marked our most well attended CAVEMODE event by far. Over 60 people came out to enjoy an evening among industry peers and listen to some great presentations. We would like to thank everyone who came out. CAVEMODE is improving every meeting and I think everyone is excited about the possibilities.
John Lemmon Films delivered a very informative and well delivered talk about claymation and the process involved. John is a veteran of clay and stop motion animation and had a lot of interesting material and insight to share.
Zach Chambers and Eric Hurtgen, Art Directors with INSP Creative Services, walked everyone through a TV show open project. The project was of high caliber and the breakdown was well presented and documented. Zach and Eric set a new bar for presenting projects and I hope we will have many more like this.
October’s meeting also marked a strong showing of students. We would like to encourage student participation in CAVEMODE and are excited to see some traction in the surrounding schools. Our biggest showing was from ITT Institute in South Charlotte, 18 students from ITT were in attendance.
We will have a video posted soon of the meeting and we plan to have every meeting from now on recorded and posted on the site. Please take a moment to sign up for the Forum and the Mailing list. The mailing list will be our primary method of keeping in touch with people so don’t miss out.
Our next meeting will be December 8th at Lightbulb Coworking. Keep checking the website for more details.
