May 6th Meeting

We have an exciting meeting planned for May. Be sure to mark May 6th on the calendar and come out to CAVEMODE. The meeting will be at a new venue Art Institute in Charlotte.

The Guest Speaker will be Stephen van Vuuren from SV2 Studios(http://www.sv2studios.com) in Greensboro. Stephen has created an IMAX film entirely in After Effects. He has considerable experience wrangling very high resolution images through After Effects and will be showing how some of the 64bit features in CS5 helped his production.

Byron Nash and Brian Pace will be doing a project breakdown on a national TV spot with Edit at Joe’s. The project will demonstrate 3D and 2D collaboration to accomplish the project in a short timeline.

Jamie Byers will be doing a demo of a new tool for After Effects entitled DUIK. DUIK is a interface and workflow to set up inverse kinematics inside After Effects.

As always, CAVEMODE will have many great prizes to raffle from Toolfarm, Digieffects, Peachpit, Artbeats, and Focal Press.
